If you are a stay at home mom it can be very hard to get a solid workout in everyday. Not only do you have a million other things to do, but you may also not be able to steal away from your kids for a trip to the gym.

Finding yourself in this situation can be very frustrating. Do not feel alone because there are a lot of other women that are feeling the same frustrations as you and trying to find a system that works for them.

There are a few different ways that you can combat the hardship of exercising when you are home with your children. Some of them are more difficult than others, but whatever you choose, do not lose hope.

It is important that you take the time to take care of your body. The investment of time in your body will ensure that you are healthy enough to raise your children and that you are happy enough to raise them well.

When you can take some time out of your selfless day to concentrate on yourself, you will begin to notice a difference in your attitude. Having some time for yourself is not selfish, but for many women it is necessary.

The first way that many women have found to combat this problem is to wake up in the wee hours of the morning. Some moms feel too exhausted in the early morning to do this, while others find this very peaceful.

You can ask your spouse to make sure and look after the sleeping children if one of them should wake up. If you do not have someone at home to watch the children you should never leave them at home alone.

Even if they are sleeping, you want to make sure that someone is there if they should wake up or run into any problems. Leaving your child or your children home alone when they are young is not a good idea.

If you just do not feel like you can wake up any earlier, you may want to find a way to incorporate your workout at home. You do not need any fancy equipment to ensure that you have a good workout.

All you need is some common household objects to get a thorough workout. When you realize all of the opportunities that are available to you at home, you may not have to worry about stealing away to the gym.

First, when you wake your kids up in the morning you can take them for an early morning bike ride or walk. If they are young, you want to make sure that you strap them into a stroller so you can walk briskly.

Not only will you be establishing a good habit for yourself, but you will also be teaching your children what is most important. They should know that waking up in the morning and exercising are very important.

If you have a bike that you can attach a ride along car for your children, you can also take them for a bike ride. You can explore different trails and different areas of your town when you are on a bike.

Your children will also enjoy spending the time with you outdoors. When you are on a bike you can pedal hard and fast without worrying about your children falling behind or getting hurt.

If you have some of their favorite toys you can put them in the sidecar with them before you start. It may take some training to teach them to entertain themselves on the ride and be good for you throughout the process.

When your children are napping or watching a television show you can sneak into another room and do a weight routine. You will not need any free weights or any equipment to complete this workout.

You simply have to learn how to use your own body weight and some of the common furniture to ensure that you work all of your muscles. There are a lot of women that find it very enjoyable to workout from their home.

After you have found your funk, make sure you stick with your routine. Whether you are working out from home or you are getting away to the gym, make sure you keep your workouts consistent.

Consistency is the key to seeing results. Not only will you be able to notice a physical difference but you will also be able to notice a difference in your energy level and your attitude.
