- Consider temperature and humidity in growing orchids at home. Although orchids can grow just fine in most temperatures at home, you can maximize its potential to bloom by putting your orchid plant near the window where it can experience a variation of day and night temperature. Orchids bloom better if they experience a good fluctuation of the temperature between the day and the night temperatures, thus find a place for them to enjoy that.
