There are mainly two types of marketing campaigns that you could set up now. The first way is the traditional way for marketing, which is regarded as the product based marketing. This type of marketing campaign is straightforward. You could promote your products or your business in ways like newspapers, TV commercials, radio spots, etc. In this way, as you know, the products would be shown directly in the promotion and you would directly introduce the products to your clients.

In these years, a lot of products are sold be plenty of sellers and it would be hard for people to figure out the way of distinguishing one seller from another seller. Therefore, traditional product based marketing might not be useful enough for sellers to leave a deep impression in the mind of the customers.
Instead of the traditional marketing methods, the use of the internet enable people to sell the products through education based marketing method. In this type of marketing, people would try to teach readers something instead of directly sell the products. Besides, they would try to inform the customers something useful about the products. This is actually regarded as soft-selling of product.
This kind of marketing campaign is useful when people want to sell the products which are sold by many sellers. If the marketing goal of the business is set to gain market share, using education based marketing is helpful. With this, sellers can be more than a seller. They will rather be like a friend of the buyers.
No doubt, in order to be really like a friend, business owners should not always answer the question only when the clients declare an interest to purchase. No matter they purchase or not, you should still serve them well. This is the theme of education based marketing. It is because you are not trying to do business with the clients once only. You expect them to return and purchase from you regularly and frequently.
So, you should be patient and wait for them to buy a product from you later. If you ignore them when they have no interest to buy the product, they know that you are not true friend and you would not be reliable from their minds. So you would fail to achieve your marketing goal and you cannot win among all the competitors in the market.
Sometimes, the education based marketing will be run for a long period of time because once you set up a website and answer questions from people and share experience with them, you could hardly stop the website or stop providing these professional things. Therefore, you have to prepare for this.
