3. Thermometer: The wax need to reach a specific melting temperature that should be maintained to prevent it from drying. Thus, you need this instrument to know the temperature of the wax. Please be careful in handling hot objects for you might get burned.
4. Double boiler: This is used to avoid heating the wax directly.
5. Container for dipping: This container should be deeper than the height of your candles. This is where you dip the wicks several times to form the layers of the candles.
Other additives: You can also add fragrances and colorants to your candles. In using fragrance, you should know how much to add to your candle or it will prevent your candle from burning properly. Colorants like dye are usually used to color the candle all the way through because they burn well. Using the right product would greatly help increase the profitability of your home-based business.
These are basically what you need to make your very own taper candles. For beginners, it might be hard to produce a perfect batch of candle sticks, but with constant practice, it is not impossible to do.
