The Success Triangle is an invention by a Jerry Clark. He runs a company called club Rhino and the Success Triangle teaches people that success in an type of business is dependent upon “Mastering” the three legs of the Success Triangle. “Mastering” Each leg involves time, sweat, anxiety and effort. It is not simply acknowledging the existence of the three areas, but a dedication to developing knowledge in those areas.
The three legs are shown below and they are:
1) External Communication - This leg usually to refers to sales, marketing, customer support and Web presence – Any thing that is communicated to your leads, prospects, or customers about the company is encompassed in this leg.
2) Technical Knowledge – This leg refers to the products and systems to run your company, product development and delivery and all the legal and accounting practices put in place to run your home base business.
3) Internal Communication – This leg is what determines 95% of success or failure in any business. It is the thoughts and self image of the business owner and the patterns of reactions and interpretations that a business owner makes about themselves when they encounter daily success or set backs. Basically this is the development of how the business owner thinks about them self.
It is interesting to note that 95% of success or failure is determined by the Internal Communication leg, and most business owners spend 95% of there time working on the External Communication and Technical knowledge legs! In Fact Jerry once taught a course where he would educate his students on the technical knowledge and External Communications pieces of his online business. The same associates would return each week asking what was the secret to Jerry’s success. Finally he realized that the things they were trying to learn to make them successful were not the things they needed to learn. What they needed to learn was how to develop a mindset of success.
